As of April 24, 2026, I have retired. Therefore, I no longer provide services in relation to Word. Also, I no longer provide ready-to-use Word add-ins, neither for sale nor for free.
Via this website, I also provided access to a lot of free macros and Word tips in English and Danish, content that I had developed over many years. Unfortunately, it has not been possible for me to keep all that content available.
In addition, the Word add-ins previously available via wordaddins.com are no longer available. However, the website still exists. Should you need assistance in relation to previously purchased license(s) to my Word add-ins, you can contact me via the Contact page at wordaddins.com.

About DocTools – the person and the story behind
My name is Lene Fredborg. I established DocTools in 2006 based on my strong interest in developing useful and time-saving tools for Microsoft Word.
Until I decided to retire in April 2026, I developed professional Word templates and efficient tools for Word in the form of add-ins. In addition, I provided consulting services in all areas related to Microsoft Word.

My experience with Microsoft Word and programming in Microsoft Visual Basic (VBA) is gained through more than 30 years of working with document automation, document templates, document management, user documentation, etc. – previously in larger IT companies and then in DocTools.
I have developed customer-specific Word solutions for many private and public companies in Denmark and other countries. In addition, I have provided licenses for my ready-to-use add-ins to Word users in numerous countries.
I have also provided free help to Word users in the form of macros, add-ins and articles both on this website and other websites.
